Already the world-record holder in the weighted pull-up, Ludo Adamantium has entered the history books again with 4,051 pull-ups in under 17 hours.

Villepinte – Ludo Adamantium, an iconic figure of French streetlifting, made a statement on Tuesday 20 May by taking on a monument of the sports world: the legendary pull-up record held by David Goggins. At the Fitness Park in Villepinte, he completed 4,051 pull-ups in 16 hours and 24 minutes, surpassing the 4,030 pull-ups set by the famous former American Navy SEAL.

The challenge started at 6 a.m. and ended at 10:24 p.m., well before the 17-hour limit allowed for this type of record. Notably, Ludo could have kept going – he had more than 30 minutes left to push the record even further. But he chose to stop symbolically at 4,051, a number sufficient to cement his dominance… and send a clear message: this record was not a ceiling, but a personal milestone.

Who Is Ludo Adamantium?

Ludo Adamantium has established himself as a world reference in streetlifting, a discipline that combines maximal strength with bodyweight mastery. He has built a reputation as a man of iron – “forged by coal” – both for his raw performances and his extraordinary mental toughness. He first gained wide public recognition by breaking the weighted pull-up world record with an incredible load of 120 kg at Final Rep 2023, a record he then broke again (unofficially) during the IDF regional streetlifting championships 2025 organized by the FNSL (French National Streetlifting Federation). Behind his evocative alias “Adamantium” is an uncompromising athlete driven by a constant pursuit of self-improvement. This new record confirms once more that he is not just a competitor, but a true icon of street workout.

Who Is David Goggins?

David Goggins is a legend of mental strength and extreme physical performance. A former Navy SEAL, ultramarathoner, and public speaker, he is known for his extraordinary feats and his philosophy of pushing beyond limits. In 2013, after two failed attempts caused by hand injuries, he set the Guinness World Record for the most pull-ups completed in 24 hours, with 4,030 repetitions. He accomplished this feat in 17 hours, in a New York studio, in front of cameras and the press.

This record, beyond the physical performance itself, became a symbol of resilience and self-denial. Goggins integrated it into his personal story as one of the defining moments of his career. It inspired thousands of athletes worldwide to “forge themselves in pain,” as his now-iconic phrase goes.

A Record Followed by Thousands on TikTok

Ludo Adamantium’s feat was broadcast live on TikTok, drawing thousands of viewers in real time throughout the day. The live stream racked up over one million likes – an impressive show of popular support, and a testament to Ludo’s growing influence in the street workout and extreme sports community.

On site, a close circle of supporters were present to cheer him on, helping to maintain a focused and united atmosphere throughout the challenge.

The “King of the Pull-Up” Keeps Piling Up Exploits

Ludo Adamantium is no stranger to the streetlifting world. He already holds the weighted pull-up world record, with a load of 120 kg – a feat that launched him onto the international stage. With this new endurance performance, he proves he commands not only raw strength but also the mental capacity to endure repetition, pain, and the long haul.

What Challenge Comes Next?

By adding this sub-17-hour pull-up record to his resume, Ludo cements his place among the living legends of the discipline. But one question burns in the minds of his fans and industry observers: what will Ludo Adamantium’s next challenge be?

A return to the streetlifting competition stage? An attempt at the weighted muscle up record? An entry into the Guinness for a new hybrid format? One thing is certain: the King is not done writing his legend.

How to Break a Squat Record?

Progressing at the squat rests on legal depth (hips below the knees), solid technique (braced back, drive through the feet, vertical bar path) and strength programming around heavy sets with fatigue management. Ankle and hip mobility earn you "free" kilos.

How to Break a Weighted Pull-Up Record?

Progressing at the weighted pull-up rests on three pillars: strict technique (full range of motion, chin over the bar, no kipping), a progressive load increase around heavy sets of 1 to 5 reps, and a solid core to transmit force without leaks. Grip work and consistency over several cycles do the rest.

To structure your progress, our weighted pull-up program details the programming, percentages and peak weeks. Also consider suitable loading gear (belt, vest) to add weight safely.

How did you discover streetlifting?

I discovered the discipline while training at Fitness Park Villepinte – well, Aerovile, excuse me. That’s where I met Nico, the founder of SWAT. Over time, they noticed I was doing a lot of pull-ups and that I wasn’t too bad at it. I was doing a few muscle ups too. So they started to initiate me a bit into being stricter with the movement. Then I competed alongside them for the first time, and once you get a taste for it, you’re hooked.

Why did you decide to compete at FNSL IDF Centre?

Well, the federation is getting more and more organized now, so you have to go through this step – the regional (Ile-de-France) qualifiers – to be eligible for the national championship. So that’s now done. And the real battles are just beginning. I’m going to have to fight hard to try and reach the world championships at the end of the year.

The weighted muscle ups – were they easy or mission impossible?

Honestly, I’ve been feeling really good in training lately. Last week I missed 35kg. So I was a bit frustrated, but I know I always have a bonus in competition – the adrenaline always pushes you that much further. So here I ended up hitting 43kg, which is one of my best competition performances – even though they didn’t white-light it. It reassures me going forward. I’ve got 12 weeks left to perform at the French national championship.

Did you hit your weighted pull-up attempts, or did you leave something on the table?

No, I couldn’t have gone any heavier today – it was really my absolute max. I had thought about going for 2 reps at 120kg, because honestly my first opener was already enough to qualify. But today that just wasn’t going to happen. It’s one of my next goals though, so we’ll see at the end of my next prep cycle. On the pull, I simply had nothing more today.

And on the weighted dips?

For both the weighted pull-ups and the weighted dips, I only took 2 attempts, because when I feel I don’t have more, or that it’s going to be too difficult – and since the goal today was just to qualify – I’d rather save some energy, given that I’m back in training tomorrow. So hitting 150kg on that event, I was still happy to get it. Across all 4 movements, that’s something I hadn’t done yet. So let’s say it’s a milestone crossed, and the next one is 160kg on all 4 movements, God willing.

And with all that accumulated fatigue, how did you feel on the squats?

Well, I’ve been training at such high volumes for years that honestly, a competition like this is basically a rest day for me. That means general fatigue is not something that’s going to hurt me. So when I get to the squat, it’s a different movement, so of course the feelings are different. It becomes a kind of gauge telling me whether I’m in shape or not – and whether I’ve done the pull-ups and weighted dips beforehand makes no difference. So in terms of building up, it was a bit tricky.

I did what – 150kg, 160kg? Let’s just say the lower weights weren’t flying up. So I put in 200kg to build confidence going onto the platform, and from there it moved better. Right now I’m really making an effort to maintain good technique and degrade as little as possible. Naturally, when I don’t break form, the weights go up more slowly but they go up better, so I prefer it that way. Then I went to 220kg, because for me that’s starting to become the bare minimum on squat to say I’m at a certain level. Now I’ve got 12 weeks to chase the weight I want – at least 250kg, maybe more. But I think it’ll be 250kg for the French nationals, God willing.

And if you had to sum up your competition in one word?

Good competition, good return to competing across all 4 movements – so I’m happy. And now I need to do better. No choice. No choice.

How did you discover streetlifting?

I discovered it through social media, because I got into weighted training almost by accident – out of laziness, really. I didn’t like doing lots of reps. I figured if I added weight I’d do fewer reps. Then on social media I saw other people doing the same thing. I thought, okay, I’m not alone in this, let’s go.

Why did you decide to compete at FNSL Northeast?

Well, I’m from Bordeaux – there’s no FNSL Southwest, so I had some freedom in choosing which event to target. I did my very first streetlifting competition at Luc’s place, here in Besancon in 2023, and I thought it would mean a lot symbolically to come back to the same place and see people I’d already met.

The weighted muscle ups – were they easy or mission impossible?

Honestly, pleasantly surprised. I was aiming for a weighted muscle up at 35 kg, only if I was in incredible shape – and in the end I think I even had a little room to spare. I preferred to lock it in and I was really happy about that.

Did you hit your target weights on weighted pull-ups or did you leave wanting more?

I played it a bit safe on the 90, I think. It’s a confidence issue – I’ve told myself for a long time that I was bad at pulling movements. So I end up anticipating. I know I have a knee kip even though I don’t actually need it if I brace better and get my chin over the bar instead of just touching it. So that’s it – we’ll do better next time.

And on the weighted dips?

Great, pleasantly surprised by my form on the day, because I did a big cut. I went from 77-78 kg the week before and I was worried it would really affect my push. 155 kg went up very smoothly, and then I attempted 161 kg trying to chase Obin, which cost me because I lost my technique, panicked and made a mess of it – it happens – but I’m confident going into the CNSL. Don’t sleep on it guys, I’m coming in strong.

And with all that accumulated fatigue, how did you feel on the squats?

The squats were a complete disaster in terms of how I felt just before the first attempts. Huge headaches – it was all mental. I tried to get through the squats quickly by putting in my second attempt at 210 kg but the bar rolled, so I wasn’t even bracing to save energy – I ended up hitting it on the third attempt, tough but done.

If you had to sum up your competition in one word?

I had a total in mind. It’s validated, now it’s straight ahead. We fix the small issues – and the mental side too. And bring on June.

What do you have planned next?

Next up is Nationals in June – I assume I’ll be qualified, it’s not too risky a bet – and then we’ll see what happens in June. I’ve got a title to reclaim apparently. And Worlds has been catching my eye, so – thank you for everything, and cheers.

How did you discover streetlifting?

I discovered streetlifting because I have been doing weight training for 10 years, and it is a practice that is genuinely spreading in gyms. And it also came through my coach, who pushed me to get into the discipline.

Why did you decide to compete at the FNSL Northeast?

To qualify for the French nationals.

Were the weighted muscle ups easy or mission impossible?

50/50. The weighted muscle up is really an all-or-nothing movement – sometimes it goes really well and other times not so much. At my last competition in October I had better muscle up attempts than today, but I got through them and that is what matters. From here I will work on that movement.

Did you hit your weighted pull-up attempts or were you left wanting more?

Yes, I hit a PR at 32.5 kg pretty easily. I was a bit disappointed not to have dared to go for 35, but there it is.

And on the weighted dips?

Same story. A PR at 40 kg, so I am very happy because that was a weight I had missed at the Espoirs competition back in October. Again, a bit gutted for not going heavier, but that will be for next time.

And with all that accumulated fatigue, how did you feel going into the squats?

Honestly pretty good, because the competition ran quite quickly overall. It was very well organized. We got to the squat at around 1:00 or 1:30 pm, so there was not too much fatigue built up.

If you had to sum up your competition in one word?

I would say accomplishment.
